SYRACUSE, N.Y. -- The Syracuse city school district was awarded four grants in recent weeks totaling $8.2 million. The district has received $184 million in grants in the last 5 years. That's up from $98 million in the 5 years before that, according to the district. Here's what the district plans to do with the recent grants: Turn around Grant Middle School With $5.145 million in its coffers, Grant Middle School is no longer considered an "Out of Time" school.
